My last two years at LSS was an unforgettable time in my life. When I first arrived I was really worried about so many things. How was I going to make friends? How could I improve my English? However, my teachers and buddies helped, I had nothing to worry about. I had such a wonderful time and successfully achieved my goals! I am really satisfied with my precious experiences and want to say “thanks” to all my teachers who helped and encouraged me along the way!

Hi, I’m Ivan, a Grade 12 international student from Hong Kong. I‘ve been studying at Langley Secondary School for over three years. When I first arrived to Canada, I had a very difficult time communicating. However, the teachers and students of LSS were very patient and supportive of me. Gradually I felt more comfortable being a student at LSS. I’m very athletic, so my favorite class was P.E. The class consisted of 15 field trips in the year, including canoeing, paintball, hockey, hiking and cliff diving. Our school also has a couple of huge athletic fields and gyms. I enjoyed being in that class as I made a lot of friends. Although three years is not a very long time, I feel a real connection to the school and I’m looking forward to graduation.

It has been six weeks since I first came to Langley Secondary School. At first I was a little nervous to go to each of my classes and introduce myself. However, I quickly felt accepted by everyone. I have learned new things such as cooking. In English class I was taught about Shakespeare, it was very interesting! Overall I’m sure glad I chose this school!

Being at Langley Secondary School for one semester was the greatest experience ! I never thought I would be able to make so many friends and adapt to a house with a new family in such a short time. It was incredible how my host family treated me, they were awesome and I will never forget them. I will miss this school and my teachers. Thanks for everything!

LSS is just right for me!
LSS is my first high school that I have been attending in Canada. There are many good teachers like Mr. Thompson, Mr. Bensley and Mr. Bevaqua who are strict but also kind. There are some teachers like Mrs. Ware and Ms. Lee who are very encouraging. There are not only good teachers but also many enjoyable and interesting programs. I took Band and while I’m playing my instrument, my stresses go away like the wind. Therefore, LSS is the best school!
